Maths-Circumference

 Maths

Today in maths we were measuring the circumference of the big circle on the court. I found that it was 50.24 of my feet, and last week I found that four of my feet were 1 metre. Which means it was 12.56 metres

The formula to find the circumference of a circle involves knowing what the diameter is.

C =  pi x Diameter
   = 3.14 x 12.56m
   = 39.43m

I worked it out another way as well.
The way I found it was by

I converted my feet lengths which came to 12.56 metres which became the diameter.

Diameter=12.56
C= 3.14 x 12.56m = 39.43m
