How To Find The Area Of A Square/rectangle

 How to find the area of a square/rectangle

All you have to do is multiply the length by the width so here is an example.

6m

12m

A=L X W

12 X 6 = 72 sq metres so all you have to do is times the length by the width and  boom done.

and when you have two boxes together

                             8m

7m2m

            4m

 Area 1: A= lxw

4 X 7= 28 sq metres

  Area 2: A= lxw

 2 X 8= 16 sq metres

Area 1 + Area 2

28 sq m + 16 sq m = 44 sq m total area. I need to remember to add the two areas together.
